Our client, an innovative UK–based manufacturing business specialising in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles is currently looking for a Head of Finance. The successful candidate will drive the financial strategy and operational finance function, working closely with the CEO and external investors to support the company's growth and expansion in the UK automotive industry.

The Head of Finance will:
- Support corporate finance activities, including equity funding, debt financing, and potential acquisitions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgeting processes (monthly/annual) and variance analysis.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including tax filings and financial reporting.
- Oversee payroll, pensions, and employee remuneration schemes in collaboration with HR.
- Set up and manage an employee equity participation and share ownership scheme.
- Implement financial systems and controls to support scale–up and operational efficiency.
The Head of Finance will have:
- ACCA / CIMA / ACA / QBE Accountant qualifications.
- Hands–on experience in a high–growth SME environment.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic mindset.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Xero experience preferred, or experience with other financial software.
