Contracts Manager (MEP)
Salary: GBP70,000 – GBP80,000 (Depending on Experience) + Bonus + Car Allowance
Location: Leighton Buzzard with visits to various sites across Kent
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Contracts/Project Manager to direct plumbing and mechanical projects within a large construction portfolio. This role is essential for ensuring seamless project execution, from planning and scheduling to delivery, adhering strictly to quality and safety standards.
Core Responsibilities for Contracts / Project Management
- Oversee and manage all phases of plumbing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and coordinate tasks among various teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any arising issues promptly.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and designers to deliver projects that meet expectations and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations at every project stage.
- Maintain thorough project documentation and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications for a Contracts Manager
- Proven experience in project/contracts management, particularly within the plumbing and/or construction industry and within new–build residential plumbing developments.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, building codes, and safety practices.
- Experience handling multiple sites in an office–based environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing multiple, large–scale projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in plumbing projects.
- Capability to adapt to a fast–paced work environment and meet tight deadlines.
