Finance Business Partner - Flexible

About the Business

An opportunity to be a Finance Business Partner for a people focused company based in Longbridge. The business operates internationally and has a large finance team of 20. This role gives you a chance to really get involved commercially with a business and work in an industry that gives back.

Main Duties:

As a Financial Business Partner, your main duties include:

• Produce monthly management accounts for the retail subsidiary, ensuring accurate accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and correct income import from other systems, payroll, and invoiced costs within the division.
• Present monthly financial performance to Senior Management, explaining key movements against budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct monthly review meetings with the Director of Service and Operational Managers, serving as the primary contact for budget holders on commercial and investment matters.
• Challenge decisions to ensure thorough consideration of business concepts.
• Provide financial advice to enhance business performance.
• Lead the annual budget–setting process with Operational Managers and the Group Consolidation Team.
• Address operational challenges with project teams, focusing on understanding cost drivers, particularly in the EPOS system, and offering insights to non–finance colleagues.
• Collaborate on improving reporting and ledger structures, optimizing the use of EPOS and Finance systems

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid with two days a week based in Longbridge, but they are willing to be flexible for the right candidate and offer one day a week in the office with four at home. The business are based in a modern office consisting of a large finance team with plenty of route for progression.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (will consider non qualified if you hold retail experience)
• Previous business partnering experience is a bonus
• Retail experience is desired
