The role: To provide strategic, operational direction and guidance for a large mixed–use developer.
Duties:
- Ensure all financial information is robust and accurate.
- Assist with new finance system implementation and ensure it is fit for purpose
- Develop new processes and procedures to continually improve the quality of financial information being used.
- Ensure that billing is accurate and undertaken in a timely manner.
- Have responsibility for insurance and energy recharging.
- Liaising with blue–chip tenants and assist in answering any queries.
- Produce VAT/CIS returns.
- Work in conjunction with external Finance Business Partners to review audited financial statements, month end packs and be the lead for ensuring accuracy during the annual audit.
- Work closely with the operational team to ensure accurate budget setting and reviewing budget against performance on a timely basis.
- Business Partner with the Operational and Asset Management teams to provide analysis of the financial performance of the assets.
- Continually develop internal management reporting and ensure financial information is accurate and accessible.
- Produce management accounts on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure the timely and accurate production of the annual audits and develop a strong working relationship with external auditors.
- Handle the operational budget variance analysis, producing variance commentary.
- Prepare financial statements including annually for the group entities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage and lead a small team of finance staff.
Requirements:
- Prior experience of working on a complex mixed use development
- Have experience of understanding complex lease agreements and partner management agreements.
- Have delivered successful audit outcomes
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA – 5 years post qualified experience
