Head of Projects

A globally renowned, market–leading technology OEM are looking to hire a Head of Projects to head up their high–performing project delivery function. The primary focus of this New Product Introduction (NPI) focussed role is to coordinate the successful introduction of cutting–edge and high–tech products to market.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a high–performing, cross–functional project management department, consisting of four project managers.
• Overseeing the execution of new product (NPI) related projects, valued up to 7m each.
• The product range consists of cutting–edge electro–mechanical devices with complex hardware, software, and embedded software elements.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive programme plans, dependencies, timelines, and budgets.
• Conducting program–level risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to address challenges across multiple projects.

To be considered for this position, candidates need to have proven Project Management experience in leading cross–functional teams to deliver product–related projects within an R&D environment. It would be advantageous to hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in an engineering or business–related field, a project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2), as well as excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
