Financial Controller PE backed business

Search are proudly partnering a large PE backed Professional Services organisation based in central Glasgow to assist in the hire of a newly created Financial Controller position.

Reporting to the Group FD and supported by an experienced Finance team, the successful candidate will assist on key strategic projects alongside overseeing day–to–day financial operations ensuring there is a robust controls environment. You will lead relationships with the auditors, banks, HMRC, senior leadership & assist in regular reporting to the PE house.

The Financial Controller will also play a vital 'group wide' role in delivering the next phase of rapid growth, which will include potential M&A activity & a transformation project.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver financial reports, including P&L's, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensuring there is a robust control environment in place to manage financial risks and controls.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to proactively drive business results through better planning, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage the monthly accounting close process and year–end statutory accounts, maintaining strong relationships with auditors
• Proactive development of processes and systems to add value.
• Proactive commercial analysis to support growth.

In order to be considered for the role you must be:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Services industry experience
• Proven track record in process improvement
• Experienced leader of a large finance team

Salary:

• 80,000 – 90,000
