Business Development Manager – Pet Industry Start–Up
GBP35,000 + Bonus & Benefits (including company car allowance, 25 days holiday, phone, and laptop)

Are you deeply passionate about the pet industry and eager to take your sales career to the next level? We re recruiting on behalf of an innovative start–up in the pet food sector, founded by a highly respected veterinary professional. This brand is quickly gaining recognition for its highly nutritious and palatable pet food products, and now they need a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive their growth.

As the Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of this ambitious start–up. Your primary mission will be to expand the company s market presence by cultivating strong relationships with pet wholesalers and unlocking new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expand Distribution: Identify and engage with pet wholesalers to broaden the company s distribution channels.
  • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans aimed at fuelling business growth and market penetration.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the pet industry, ensuring long–term partnerships.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities, promoting the product s unique value.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the founder and leadership team to influence and shape the company s market strategy, contributing to its rapid growth.
We would love to see CV's from candidates who have:
  • Pet Industry Experience: Proven experience in a sales role within the pet industry, with a strong understanding of pet food products.
  • Wholesaler Network: A well–established network and hands–on experience in dealing with pet wholesalers.
  • Sales Expertise: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship–building skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Passion for Pets: A genuine passion for the pet industry, coupled with a commitment to promoting high–quality, nutritious pet food.
