Interim Warehouse Manager

Job Title: Interim Warehouse Manager (6 Months)
Location: Preston
Salary: GBP45,000 – GBP50,000 per annum (pro–rata)

We are pleased to be supporting an existing customer in their search for an Interim Warehouse Manager to support the business through their peak trading period.

The contract will be working on an initial 6 Month contract and a start date of early September is required.

The Role:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations covering Goods In, Pick & Pack, and Despatch functions, and safety across two units.

As an experienced leader, you will have excellent planning skills and a proven record of coaching junior managers and team leaders in delivering customer service levels, confidently handling any challenges that might arise.
Additional responsibilities include:

• Team Building & Performance Management: Setting objectives, organising training, and providing real time coaching and feedback on performance.
• Operations Planning: Forecasting activity levels and allocating resources to ensure all orders are despatched OTIF.
• Continuous Improvements: Identifying areas to improve performance and levels of customers service and implementing new processes E.g. pick rates, housekeeping standards, staff training, etc.

The Candidate:
Joining the business during the peak period you will need a detailed knowledge warehouse processes in a fast paced, high–volume environment. Being able to quickly understand current processes and identify areas to improve performance.

You will need experience in leading and coaching direct and indirect management reports at Shift Manager and Team Leader level.
Ideally, you will have experience in a multi–site role, managing teams and building engagement across different units.

A Health & Safety qualification is desirable, but by no means essential.

The Package:

• Salary of GBP45,000 – GBP50,000 per annum, pro–rata.
• Performance related Bonus.
• 25 Holidays (pro–rata).
