Project Manager

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with TSP Engineering, a technical solutions provider, delivering high–quality bespoke solutions to the civil nuclear/defence sectors, to recruit 2 Project Managers out of their Workington site.

The Project Manager plays a crucial role in delivering civil nuclear/defence projects role comes with a salary up to 50,000, 35 days annual leave (inc BH) and unrivalled progression routes.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager you will:

• Act as a point of contact for client enquiries, ensuring the requirements are correctly interpreted and reflected in deliverables.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship throughout the project duration
• Provide leadership and direction to Assistant Project Manager, Planners, Manufacturing and Technical teams in delivering projects.
• Identification of deliverables using Product (PBS), Work (WBS), and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
• Ensuring project schedules and costs are regularly reviewed and effective change control procedures are established.
• Stakeholder management (client and senior management)

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• APM Project Management Qualification is essential (PQM)
• Engineering Degree or equivalent practical Mechanical Engineering experience is desirable.

Personal skills

The Project Management role would suit someone who is:

• Project Management background with experience and proven success in managing multi–disciplined projects from concept to grave.
• Management of projects over 10M
• Experienced in a Mechanical Engineering or similar position.
