Business Development Management – South Tyneside
As a Business Development Manager, you will spearhead the identification of new business opportunities, tapping into emerging markets and cultivating relationships with new clients. You will be pivotal in driving business growth in alignment with our strategic objectives, with a primary focus on the shipping and logistics sectors.
Essential Experience:
- Commercially savvy with a proven track record in developing and securing new business.
- Team player with a commitment to values.
- Established network in traditional shipping or logistics markets, including Containers, Logistics, Bulks, or Project Cargo.
- In–depth knowledge of market trends and developments.
- Experience in drafting contracts, developing pricing models, and bidding processes.
Essential Qualifications:
- Preferably degree–educated in a relevant discipline. Relevant work experience will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue business leads in traditional cargo and shipping markets.
- Manage and nurture the business pipeline, providing regular updates to the Commercial Director and Chief Commercial Officer.
- Enhance opportunity conversion rates through accurate forecasting.
- Maintain and update CRM tools, contracts, and pricing models.
- Attend industry events, visit clients, and generate new leads.
- Draft bids and proposals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted strategies.
