The Role:

As the Head of Commercial Projects, you will play a crucial role in driving the institute's commercial strategy and expanding our portfolio of commercial partnerships.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with leading organisations across various sectors to leverage our research capabilities and create mutually beneficial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement a strategic plan for commercial partnerships aligned with the institute's goals

– Identify and engage with potential partners, including industry leaders, academic institutions, and government bodies

– Negotiate and secure commercial agreements that support the institute's research objectives and financial sustainability

– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements

– Monitor market trends and emerging opportunities to position the institute as a leader in scientific research and innovation

– Lead and mentor a team of professionals to achieve commercial objectives and foster a culture of excellence

Qualifications and Experience:

– Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (Ph.D. preferred) with a strong research background

– Proven experience in forming and managing commercial partnerships within the scientific or academic sector

– Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

– Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans

– Strong leadership and team management capabilities

– Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and drive projects to successful completion
