An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join our public sector organisation based in East London.
This is a fixed term post for 18 months and the salary range is 74,311 – 79,446
The successful applicant will have knowledge of the challenges faced by local authorities and key partners, leading to the need to innovate in the context o reducing resources whilst delivering statutory social care services. The successful applicant will have substantial experience of effective programme management of multiple projects in the public sector in a large complex organisation, where stakeholder management is key.
- To deliver the transformation of Adult's Services necessary to realise the required savings and other cost avoidance and initiatives
- Managing change within the complex environment of Adult's Social care operating at both programme and project level, delivering on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
- Implementation of key project deliverables as per the agreed plan and leading the coordination of interdependencies with all stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- To plan and deliver regular and effective engagement with those stakeholders impacted by change, managing all risks and issues
- Manage the required Adult Services governance boards, coordinating and holding to account to those involved in the transformation of Adult's Social Care – ensuring the design of all changes are co–produced and involve the engagement of experts where required
- Develop and update project documentation to provide a clear and accurate picture and ensuring feedback to sponsors
- Understand and be able to communicate the requirements of Adults' Social Care, supporting the development of appropriate processes eliminating waste and driving continuous improvement and efficiency
- Lead the organisation of the people consultation element of the transformation, working closely with HR colleagues who will provide expertise on workforce matters.
- Oversee the delivery of several projects that support the Transformation Programme, including onboarding new technologies, upskilling staff, implementing new processes and new ways of working
- Manage relationships with suppliers engaged to ensure procurement rules are followed and work delivered to a high standard
- Conduct resource planning and forecasting, and work with Finance colleagues to ensure the programme and its projects can be delivered to time and to budget
