Business Development Manager (Commercial Lighting)

40,000 – 50,000 + 25% Bonus + B2B Sales + Company Car + Benefits + Training + Progression

Are you a sales professional with experience of selling products looking to work for a major international lighting manufacturer based in Portsmouth who will offer job security, training and progression, potential future promotion and the opportunity to manage your own schedule on the open road?

Do you want to enjoy a varied work schedule where no two days will be the same and you will be visiting different parts of the UK each week selling cutting edge lighting products into industries like Construction, Emergency Services and Rail?
Our client are a leading manufacturer of portable lighting products with a major manufacturing site in Portsmouth. You will normally be in the office in Portsmouth on Monday and Friday and then out on the road in your company car Tuesday to Wednesday. Accommodation and food allowance provided.
If you are an experienced sales person looking to sell into Construction, Emergency Services and Rail and wants to be out on the road 3 days per week, then please apply for this role.
The Role:

  • Identify and convert new clients to buy company products
  • Drive Business Development forward
  • Visit new clients and invite them to try and purchase company products
  • Demonstrate company products to new clients including Construction and Rail
  • Increase purchasing by existing clients
  • Conduct virtual sales appointments
  • 2 days per week in the office / 3 days per week travelling around the UK
  • Stay overnight regionally for up to two days away from Portsmouth
  • Drive provided Company Car (Citroen DS7) to varied locations within the UK
  • Sell Lighting products into UK Construction and Rail companies
  • Communicate your sales progress with the head office
  • Record sales progress through company CRM (Hubspot)

The Person:

  • Sales professional with experience of selling products
  • Willingness to be travelling around the UK 3 days per week
  • Full UK Driving License
