Exciting opportunity for a full time Group Financial Controller, based at our Nottingham office, with earnings between GBP46k – GBP50k depending on experience.

Position Overview:

As Group Financial Controller you will have responsibility for ensuring that the finance department is fit for purpose, the everyday operational tasks are completed accurately and on time for the production of all financial reports. You will be expected to fully manage the department, having a hands on role assisting the team in its day to day activities and working alongside departmental heads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the compilation and submission of financial reports to allow departmental managers and senior team members to understand and to measure the key business drivers;
  • Proposing changes in processes, procedures and ensuring that the team have the relevant skills to complete their tasks;
  • Manage the preparation and submission of payroll and VAT;
  • Liaison with external accountants in Switzerland for the preparation of VAT returns and payroll;
  • Day to day management and mentoring of the Finance Team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate will be:

  • QBE, CIMA / ACCA full / part qualified with demonstrable experience that aligns with the role;
  • Possess the ability to work to deadlines;
  • Show excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build strong effective relationships with stakeholders;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use excel
  • Strong technical skills, a solid grounding in finance (understanding debits, credits, P&L and balance sheet);
  • Demonstrable experience in accounting preparation;
  • Ability to produce consolidated accounts from a multi–currency base;
  • Experience dealing with multi–currency payment and receipts

Terms & Benefits:

  • 37.5 hours per week,
  • Salary of GBP46k – GBP50k per annum depending on experience,
