ARE YOU A PROJECT MANAGER WITH COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE FOR THE LEAISURE INDUSTRY?

WE ARE SEEKING A PROJECT MANAGER TO JOIN A TEAM BASED IN OXFORD, TO LEAD AND MANAGE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A HOTEL, AS WELL AS SOME SMALLER PROJECTS ON A TEMPORARY BASIS.

THE ROLE

  • Oversee projects and help support reactive maintenance running across the UKRI–RAL contract
  • Plan and manage more complex specialist projects as identified by the Senior Contracts Manager
  • Review incoming projects and allocate the necessary internal staff resource
  • Identify and interpret project design criteria and engage specialist sub–contractors and personnel to identify solutions for implementation
  • Engage sub–contractors and support the Commercial team in surveying sites prior to construction
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project are effectively planned, monitored, and controlled
  • Deliver project within programme and budget
  • Ensure all Company Procedures are being complied with
  • Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrate previous experience in a construction–based Project Management role
  • Demonstrate strong communication and management skills
  • Experience in the delivery of commercial projects up to a value of GBP1mil
  • Experience of working in the science sector, desirable but not essential
  • Ability to manage and deliver numerous concurrent projects of varying financial values and scope
  • Ability to plan and programme projects using MS Project
  • Excellent IT skills I.E Microsoft Office
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Knowledge / understanding of NEC 4 contracts, desirable but not essential
