DATS Engineering is excited to recruit on behalf of our esteemed client for an Assistant Estates Project Manager position in Kent. Offering a competitive salary of 38K per annum, this permanent role requires a proactive individual to support the Estates Project Manager in managing and delivering key facility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, designing, executing, and monitoring projects.
  • Meet with stakeholders to identify project requirements and timelines.
  • Help develop detailed project plans and communicate any changing needs and requirements.
  • Undertake tasks as directed by the Estates Project Manager, including contractor liaison and quality checking.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
  • Contribute to managing and monitoring project budgets.
  • Support the Estates Project Manager in ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Collaborate with Estates and Curriculum Teams to ensure smooth project and operational interfaces.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional or trade qualifications in project management.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building construction regulations and procedures.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering large building projects, preferably in an educational setting.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate, CDM).
  • Experience with contractor selection and tendering processes.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Excellent problem–solving skills and adaptability.
  • Confident, friendly, and able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel offsite, holding a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Physical capability for an active role.
