Senior Finance Business Partner, Transportation, London, 60k + brilliant benefits

We are working for an established transportation business, part of a larger PE backed group. They are looking for a senior finance business partner to join their successful finance function. Reporting directly into the Head of FP&A you will drive financial analysis and insight into the business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare periodic management accounts and a monthly reporting pack.
• Collaborate with managers and functional directors monthly to discuss current cost performance and trends.
• Investigate key business areas and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Identify cost trends (both opportunities and risks) and work with budget holders to determine necessary actions for effective management.
• Support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with ad–hoc tasks and lead Finance Business Partners in specific work streams.
• Collaborate with budget holders to prepare a bottom–up annual budget for all cost elements.
• Update the rolling forecast at least quarterly, considering current cost trends and anticipated changes in volume or price that deviate from the budget.
• Report any weaknesses in internal controls or checks to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis or the Financial Controller.

Essentials

• Qualified accountant or QBE
• Proven Business Partnering Experience
• Self starter with ability to go beyond the numbers

• Experience working within the Transportation sector
