Systems Engineer Verification

A top nuclear and defence company in the UK is looking to bring on board a systems engineer with a bias in verification to help complete some massive projects on one of the most exciting projects in the UK.

• Job Title – Systems engineer Verification
• Location – Reading (3 days a week)
• Contract Length – 12 Months
• Pay Rates – GBP73 hour Umbrella

Duties include:

• System Engineers to work within the verification team supporting the production of evidence roadmaps which define how verification evidence is to be generated within a complex programme.
• Primary task is to develop the verification model through definition of claims, arguments, and evidence for the system requirements. This includes support to the generation of the verification strategies (safety/environmental/functional/etc.) and elicits the programme's hardware demand and test schedule.
• Secondary tasks are to refine and mature the MBSE implementation and supporting documentation, work with wider stakeholders to understand and document risk, dependencies, and assumptions and working with the requirements team to refine the system requirements as the verification work is completed.

Key experience/ skills:

• Previous experience of verification on a major programme is essential.
• Knowledge of IBM DOORS and Sparx Enterprise Architect is essential.
• Understanding of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Claims, Arguments, Evidence notation structure is highly desirable.
• An understanding of verification elements, system constraints, environments, and interface definition is also useful.
