A Business Development Manager is required for a hugely popular supplier of precision CNC machinery, providing metal cutting solutions to the manufacturing industry. Territory based in the South West and M4 corridor, your primary focus is to increase market share in the region, whilst continuing to develop the reputation and company brand values.

The basic salary is circa 55K basic, an unmatched commission structure, company car with Hybrid option, 33 days holidays, a private pension, Bupa healthcare, but most importantly, a huge amount of ongoing training and personal development.

This will be a fully remote WFH position so a laptop and phone are provided too.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the business development Manager will be responsible for –

  • Maintaining and increasing business levels of the group's products
  • Gathering market and customer information to determine users in the area
  • Meeting customers on site to provide a technical solution based sale
  • Negotiating terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with customers
  • Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base
  • Increasing business opportunities, by upselling turnkey solutions
  • Developing strategies, forecasts and pipelines of business
  • Attend trade fairs, exhibitions and promotional events
  • Project management on all orders from enquiry through to final delivery and aftercare

Experience in a technical sales role is essential, selling capital equipment, ideally within the CNC machine tool industry would be a big advantage.

You will need a genuine interest in the manufacturing industry and the various sectors, to understand who your target audience will be to aim our products at. Combining sales and customer service you will be the ultimate partner for your customers and to ensure that you and the business are in the foremost of their mind.

Flexibility towards frequent travel to the territory you'd look after is essential, as well as frequent travel to the HQ in the UK for product launches, demo's and customer open house events.
