My client who has been operating since 2015, is a growing provider of manned security and facilities management services such as commercial cleaning. They are holders of SIA approved contractor status. Their core security services include, Key Holding, Alarm Response, Lock and Unlocks, Mobile Patrols, Vacant Property Inspections, Manned Guarding, Site Security, Retail security, Concierge Security, Door Supervision, cleaning and Event Security for a diverse client base that includes; Councils, Care Homes, Schools, Academies, Universities, Gatehouses, Checkpoints, Zoos etc, with contracts across the country. Their Cleaning Division predominantly perform non contractual cleaning requirement and there is a strong desire to explore and pursue more contracted works for both divisions.

They have reached a point in their development where they need to recruit a Head of Business Development Manager to support their Security & Cleaning Division to achieve their growth plans. Candidates for this role must be flexible and adaptable to a fast–paced environment, with the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. They are looking to target the retail industry, construction, offices, logistics, Government facilities, hospitality and leisure. Also, other security companies and facilities management companies (as a national company they are looking for contracts across the country). This Head of Business Development role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to build a whole sales function within the business. You will not be just a number, but responsible for over time, developing a sales team.

They are looking for a mature industry experienced Business Development professional to come in and get on with the job in hand rather than them tell the successful applicant how to do it. They are looking for candidates who are au fait with contemporary sales techniques utilising technology to find potential opportunities. Candidates for this role should have a good all–round knowledge of the security and FM industries and have successfully sold in this sector, have a knowledge of all elements of the sales cycle from lead finding through to closing the sale. Candidates should have an engaging personality, strong communication and presentation skills and a smart appearance. A UK driving licence is also a must. Location wise candidates can reside anywhere, operating remotely with a weekly/fortnightly office visit. As this is a new position, they are happy to devise a commission structure and a sales target in consultation with the successful candidate.

Please note – The client will only consider candidates who have previous sales success within the manned security or cleaning sector and will not consider candidates without this experience.

Basic salary 35k– 45k, commission to be agreed, mileage allowance, laptop, mobile phone, Nest pension and 20 days holiday
