Job description - the role

On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Project manager to work in their Edinburgh Team on a hybrid working model, for an initial contract length of 6 months.

Key responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to spearhead our Finance Transformation Project. The ideal candidate will possess extensive project management expertise, a deep understanding of finance systems implementations and/or migrations and a proven track record in financial reporting systems.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of the Finance Transformation Project.
  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Finance Systems Change:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders, both in Tesco bank and the wider Group including HM, to understand and implement specific system changes or migrations.
  • Utilize transformation experience to navigate challenges and ensure a seamless transition.

Financial Reporting Systems:

  • Demonstrate expertise in financial reporting systems, ideally with Oracle application product knowledge, contributing to the enhancement and optimization of reporting processes.
  • Analyze and interpret systems architecture, data and controls required for the generation of financial reporting .

Financial Services Background:

  • A prerequisite for this role, a background in financial services is essential to understand industry intricacies and tailor solutions accordingly

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in finance-related projects.
  • Expertise in finance systems change and financial reporting systems.
  • Background in financial services is mandatory.


  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in navigating and leading finance-related transformations.
