White Label Recruitment are currently working with a specialist Power Transmission / Rotating Equipment Manufacturer who are looking for a Commercial Director to join their team.The business is going from strength to strength and want to continue pushing growth into new markets, sectors, applications and/or areas. The main industries they supply into include Quarrying, Mining, Aggregates, Steel Production, Food and Water Treatment so as a business they are very resilient when it comes to industries. They are currently not working in the Oil & Gas sector so there is the scope to also develop this area.This is a great opportunity for either a proven Commercial Director or for someone who is ready for the next step up in their career to this level.Role:

This is a "hands on" commercial management role and the appointed person will play a very active role in the day–to–day management of the business whilst developing longer term plans.

This is a home–based position, and this role will involve managing the commercial team of External Sales Engineers(all UK based but 3 cover the UK, 1 covers Europe 2 cover Rest of World (ROW) and they probably travel overseas every couple of months). As a business they currently cover a lot of the world but branching into new areas would be beneficial.

The Commercial Director will also be responsible for managing the Internal Sales team of 6 (Order Entry, Sales Admin, Internal Sales, Service and Repair Quotes and App Eng), in which they are all currently directly managed by the current Commercial Director. It will be the decision of the new Commercial Director whether they want to keep this structure or bring in someone more Senior on Internal Sales to directly manage the Internal Sales team.

The Commercial Director will responsible for maintaining margins, also a main focus is to architect commercial strategies and get the team to execute these strategies.

The Commercial Director will run a sales meeting every couple of months with the whole team in attendance.

Attend quarterly group executive team meetings, including presenting to senior members of the board.

Person:

Someone who drives change and growth – must have a proven and demonstrable track record in growth of a business.

Ideally have experience with Power Transmission and / or Rotating Equipment, but would also consider other associated product ranges such as Valves, Pumps, Bearings, Machining etc

Must be able to show rapid career progression throughout their career, and have excellent levels of ambition and success as there is the potential to progress to MD Level within 4–5 years.

Must show experience growing a business, including identifying and developing within new Markets, Industries or Customers etc

Ideally Sales / Commercial / Product Manager backgrounds but consider other areas such as production engineering.

Ideally be degree educated.

Salary and Package:

Circa GBP80–85k annual salary

Bonus scheme of 25% of annual salary
