Financial Controller

Hi All, I am currently working with an entertainment business in Hertfordshire who are seeking a Financial Controller to join their small finance team.

They are looking for a strong leader, the individual will be responsible for all outputs and actions of the team. With the guidance of the Finance Director, they will lead all business partnering, reporting, process development and compliance for finance.

Role:

• Strong leadership skills, supporting a small part qualified team and completing 1–2–1's
• Oversee the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Develop new management accounts pack to include: – P&L, BS, Debtor reporting, KPI tracking
• Present the results to the senior leadership team
• Manage the audit process for the group and subsidiaries with our Accountants through to sign off
• Quarterly bank reporting
• Working with business units to produce annual business plan, budgets and regular robust forecasts
• Cash management including cashflow reporting and forecasting, management of currency accounts and making suggestions / recommendation regarding hedging policy
• Drive the full adoption of all benefits to be gained from SAP B1 and maximise potential with new WMS implementation (Highly beneficial is you have previous ERP experience)
• Lead the follow up actions to collect payments in a timely manner
• Check and make bank payments in both sterling and foreign currency
• Ensure Group's compliance with VAT/PAYE/NIC and all filing requirements in the UK
• Oversee and be responsible for invoicing and cash collection processes
• Support the FD in managing the relationship with Auditors, bankers, insurers and other third parties.

Experience:

• Qualified accountant with Industry experience
• SME experience – Experienced in completing statutory returns including VAT, Companies House Filings and working on the finalisation of statutory
• Experience working in any of Logistics, FMCG, Hospitality or Contract Catering
• Experience of international tax regimes – EU and US
