Project Manager Civil Engineering

Project Manager required for new environmental civils and earthworks projects in North Somerset on a long term contract assignment starting ASAP or after appropriate notice period for the right person. This initial project is scheduled for 2 years.

You will ideally have experience in the following:– Earthworks, Temporary Works, Cofferdams, piling platforms; Tunnelling experience also preferable.

Your Project Manager duties as no.1 on site will include, but not be restricted to managing a team and subcontractors. with contractual and commercial considerations using NEC4 form of contract, overall contract supervision, managing various stakeholders, contract planning and scheduling, assisting with overcoming technical queries and managing a team who's duties will include dictating and monitoring health and safety procedures and ensuring exemplary work practices are upheld to maintain the highest quality on site.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a background of Managing environmental civils, clean or dirty water and/or major earthworks projects at a senior management level from pre–contract through to completion.

The successful candidate will have undertaken a Civil Engineering qualification to HNC level as a minimum, along with SMSTS, 1st Aid etc. and CSCS.

The person will also be able to demonstrate good knowledge of civils infrastructure, leading by example with excellent organisational and communication skills, able to work as the principal member of the management team.
