My client is a leading engineering business located in the Bedford area they are looking to recruit for a Project Manager for a Aerodynamics Project Manager working within the Aerodynamics department managing key projects for the business.
Key Responsibilities Project Manager Aerodynamics
- Collaborate in the preparation of proposals to cultivate a personal client and project portfolio aligned with the department's strategy. Actively engage with technical and business development teams to secure successful proposals.
- Adhere to current best–practice project management procedures, encompassing risk management, planning, team assembly, budget allocation, program requirements distribution, margin confirmation at project initiation, milestone reporting, internal documentation, record–keeping, change order execution, client interaction, expectation management, performance monitoring using financial data, control, project closure, and wrap–up.
- In the role of the primary client contact, actively pursue additional business opportunities.
- Assist in business development initiatives, which may involve occasional domestic and international travel.
- Collaborate closely with senior Technical Managers within the project team, defining roles and responsibilities from the outset to enhance communication and optimize project outcomes.
- Successfully deliver projects according to agreed–upon milestones, schedules, and within the constraints of budget, time, and quality.
- Offer impartial project status feedback for integration into business monitoring processes and reports.
- Proactively manage your work schedule, identifying and resolving potential scheduling conflicts to best support overall company programs.
- Utilize in–depth or extensive experience to provide proactive insights for optimizing project planning and execution.
- Ensure the completion of tasks and projects to a successful conclusion.
- Maintain appropriate records to ensure transparency and traceability of critical issues throughout the project's lifecycle.
- As part of continuous improvement, actively provide feedback on lessons learned and potential process enhancements relevant to project management activities.
Qualifications & Requirements Project Manager Aerodynamics
- Possess a university degree in engineering or a related technical field (or demonstrate equivalent experience) such as Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics.
- While having a project management qualification is advantageous, the crucial factor is demonstrating experience in effectively managing intricate projects.
- Proficiency in comprehending intricate technical information from a diverse team is essential for making informed decisions and setting priorities.
- Display exceptional communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication styles to the preferences of team members.
- Accustomed to working within the uncertainties of high–pressure and dynamic environments.
