We are seeking a permanent Project Manager to work for a SME civil engineering contractor with offices in Yorkshire that is expanding and has secured long–term water infrastructure projects throughout Yorkshire and the North Midlands.
The company has been established for over 30 years, has a turnover currently just over GBP10 Million per annum, they operate 90% of the time as a sub–contractor to very larger Tier 1 Major contractors undertaking water, highways and general groundwork packages. Their smallest project would be GBP250K, their average project size is GBP2 Million with their largest being GBP10 Million per project with around 6 live projects in any given week.
We seeking an experience Project Manager or Senior Site Agent that is seeking their next step in their career to join the company and lead projects from cradle to grave in this client facing role. The ideal candidate would have worked in heavy civils and have highways, roads, water infrastructure or FRC structures experience have managed direct and sub contract staff be strong with IT skills site–based paperwork RAMS, Risk & method statements etc and project programming skills whist also have a strong commercial financial contractual awareness.
The ideal candidate would have worked for similar well known civil engineering contractors, ideally come from an engineering background HND or higher and hold SMSTS, CSCS, First aid and driving license as a minimum as the role will required regional travel.
This role is a salary (PAYE) role plus benefits offering car or car allowance, company pension larger than the governments min rate, annual bonus scheme, healthcare cover, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, fuel business miles repaid at HMRC rates. They do offer a degree of flexibility around site, office start and end times for family support but the general hours are 07:30 till 17:00.
