Financial Controller

SF Recruitment are working with a product lead business based in Birmingham who have a highly acquisitive and growing business model. They are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team on a permanent basis and take on an all–round responsibility for the finance function of the business.

Job Description:

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day–to–day financial operations of the business, as well as ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information. You will report to the Financial Controller and will work closely with the rest of the finance team.

Responsibilities:

Manage the transactional finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Take responsibility for the monthly financial close process, including preparing financial statements, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring accuracy of the income statement.
Prepare financial forecasts, annual budgets, and business plans.
Support the year–end audit process, liaising with auditors and preparing financial statements.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision–making.
Ad–hoc projects as required by the Head of Finance.

Requirements:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to prepare and review financial statements

To be considered for this role, you will have had experience of running a finance team in a fast paced business.
