Description

Key Responsibilities of the financial accountant:
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with regulatory guidelines and accounting principles.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with auditors.
  • Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and recommend appropriate actions.

Profile

Qualifications and Requirements for the Financial accountant role:
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and practices (e., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Proficiency in using financial software and ERP systems (e., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
