Denholm is excited to be partnering with a Professional Services organisation based in Glasgow who have an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join the team as Finance Manager. This is a key hire for the organisation, and you will be joining a friendly and supportive team with the opportunity to work flexibly. Remote/Hybrid working available.
You are a technically strong individual with a clear understanding and experience of supervising or managing individuals within an accounting function. You will hold responsibility for overseeing the finance and reporting functions, whilst line managing the finance administration team. As Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to use your experience to improve processes and implement ideas and changes to current working practice, ensuring all financial objectives are met. You will support and lead the team, providing guidance when required. The Finance team are responsible for billings, credit control and cash management. Other responsibilities will include; producing management accounts and analysis reports, vat returns and overseeing payroll. As Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all deadlines and compliance procedures are met, implementing changes to systems and processes and providing business partnering to non–financial stakeholder and the board.
You are a qualified and experienced Accountant with experience of supervising or leading others. You will have ideally trained within a professional firm of Accountants. You will bring excellent organisational and communication skills and you can liaise confidently with both internal and external stakeholders. Applications will be accepted from individuals who are qualified by experience. Excel skills are essential.
This role would also suit individuals looking to make the transition from practice to an in–house role.
