Senior Finance Manager

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be recruiting for a leading Services business, based in Fareham, who are seeking to recruit a Senior Finance Manager on a 12 month FTC.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager include:

• Responsible for all aspects of accounting
• Ensure a robust and continually evolving control environment is maintained, including maintenance of all balance sheet reconciliations
• Review of work of junior members of the team to ensure quality control
• Management and mentoring of staff
• Creation, analysis and support of management information to the business
• Responsible for the development and delivery of management and statutory financial statements
• Effective business partnering across the multiple jurisdictions and product groups in which we operate, engaging with the business in managing working capital, expenditure and projects
• Develop a proactive approach to analysis of financial data going beyond timely and accurate preparation understanding why and where action is required
• Management of the year–end audit process
• Review of periodic direct and indirect tax returns

Key Skills and Experience of the Senior Finance Manager include:

• The candidate will be expected to hold a relevant professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) and minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
• Experience of producing thoughtful and relevant management information, acting as a commercially minded financial business partner to other business areas
• Demonstrable experience of managing, coaching and developing a team
• Sound technical accounting and reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills essential
• Strong attention to detail critical
