Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working in partnership with a growing business, based in the Chesterfield area, as they look to appoint a Transactional Finance Manager on a full time, permanent basis.Joining this close–knit team, you will be in a pivotal role ensuring that key month end and day–to–day activities are completed in a robust and timely manner, ensuring appropriate processes and controls are complied with.Duties: Supporting the implementation of a new finance system providing support and training where necessary Challenge current processes and demonstrate the ability to suggest improved ways of working, driving efficiencies whilst managing stakeholder expectations Managing the transactional finance team, providing development, mentoring and support Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant management of all accounting transactions Ensuring sales and purchase invoice disputes and queries are dealt with and resolved in a timely manner Ensuring VAT and Withholding tax (WHT), and all payroll related returns are submitted and paid by appropriate deadlines Produce / review balance sheet reconciliations for payroll, VAT and WHT, purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank, and intercompany accounts Monthly reviews of open purchase orders, liaising with other business functions to ensure our committed spend is accurately recorded Month end journals for purchase order accruals, head office prepayments, recharges across the group Support with cashflow forecasting Support with external audit queriesRole requirements include: Exceptional organisation and communication skills A positive attitude and the ability to build relationships Previous experience in a similar role, encompassing payroll, sales and purchase ledger MS Office, including intermediate or higher excel skills Experience of managing and developing teams would be advantageous An accountancy qualification would be advantageousIf you are looking for a new opportunity where you will be integrated as part of a fun and supportive finance team, then this could be the perfect position for you!
