About the role:

  • You will join an established team doing defendant clinical negligence work in Leeds on behalf of both NHS Trusts and GPs
  • This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team delivering this work in Leeds and developing existing relationships with healthcare organisations. The firm is looking for applicants who can demonstrate that they have a genuine interest in healthcare, who wish to develop their career in this area of law and are excited by this opportunity
  • The Clinical Law Claims Division comprises around 90 fee earners over three offices
  • The firm has been a member of NHS Resolution's panel of lawyers since its inception. It is ranked number one in the legal directories for defendant clinical negligence work

About you:
  • Seeking a self-motivated, ambitious and to join our highly regarded and expanding clinical negligence team
  • The successful candidate will be expected to have defendant clinical negligence litigation experience and be well-versed in understanding the needs of our client base, preferably gained at an NHS Resolution Panel firm
  • Experience of managing claims against GPs is an advantage but not essential
  • The role will involve managing a caseload of complex and high-value claims on instructions from NHS Resolution
  • Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with a Partner who will supervise your work and there will be opportunities for client contact and business development
