Job Description
The firm are currently seeking a motivated and talented Newly Qualified Planning Solicitor to join their growing team in Leeds. As a Planning Solicitor, you will work on a variety of planning matters, providing legal advice, drafting documents, and representing clients in planning-related disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of planning law
- Assisting clients in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
- Conducting legal research to support cases and staying up to date with relevant legislation and regulations
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including planning agreements, section 106 agreements, and related contracts
- Representing clients in planning inquiries, hearings, and court proceedings
- Collaborating with other members of the legal team and external stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcome for clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and actively seeking opportunities for business development
- Qualified solicitor with a focus on planning law, having completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent
- Newly qualified solicitor or up to two years post-qualification experience in planning law
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation, regulations, and procedures
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities, with the capability to present complex legal concepts clearly and concisely
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional client service
