Job Description
- Oversee global accounting organisation, including controller-ship, audit, tax, and financial systems across multiple locations. Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and coordination. Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and reports. Manage all accounting operations, including AR, AP, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash, Payroll, and Inter company Accounting. Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures. Provide insights for financial decision making, considering USGAAP, International GAAP, and IFRS. Support external reporting requirements and provide guidance for M&A activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and FP&A, to enhance financial systems, reporting, and planning.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with CPA certification and a BS/MS in Accounting or Finance. International experience managing accounting staff in U.S., UK, China, and/or Costa Rica is desirable. Accounting experience across several sectors preferably with private equity ownership and prior experience driving change and process improvements. Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition, business combinations, stock-based compensation, and foreign currency matters. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams, setting goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Technology-savvy with proficiency in accounting and reporting software, experience in supporting M&A activities, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
