Our client is a high profile, rapidly scaling premium beauty and skin care brand with a passionate and purposeful leadership team and a differentiated market position. Already established internationally they are now looking for an ambitious and dynamic Chief Financial Officer to play a major role in helping to lead the business through its next phase of global expansion and investment.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be a key member of the C-Suite, strategic and commercial in outlook, but also able to elevate all aspects of financial dialogue to ensure the delivery of high-quality forecasts, management information and data that will enable business-critical decision making with confidence.

The CFO will have ultimate responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all finance-related activities across the company. They will lead all aspects of statutory reporting, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, maintain oversight and optimisation of cashflow management and ensure appropriate risk management techniques and financial controls are embedded. With international expansion and the increase in overseas entities, they will lead the finance strategy around corporate structure and governance. They will also develop a seamless strategy and budget process to ensure sophisticated decision-making and a granular feedback loop across the leadership team, to ensure a detailed and controlled view of key organisational metrics.

The CFO will bring insight and expertise to the evolution of the business to ensure that systems and processes are fit for purpose whilst being a key strategic partner both internally and externally.

This will be an opportunity to grow the existing finance team and financial operations, with a focus on growth aspirations globally.

The role
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver a business strategy with a thorough understanding of the levers for growth and profitability
  • Deliver financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting associated with the business strategy and improve the quality, timeliness and reliability of financial analysis and key performance metrics available to management and the Board
  • Support and collaborate across the organisation to evolve the financial, business information and technological processes, reporting, records and systems to be best-in-class and enable insightful, robust and timely reporting
  • Partner with key stakeholders cross functionally, ensuring financial inputs and outputs are understood and optimised within plans and projects
  • Serve as a key strategic executive, helping to constantly study and evaluate the beauty and skincare sector, identifying opportunities, threats and trends to help make strategic business decisions
  • Plan, manage and execute all investment and fundraising activities alongside COO and CEO
  • Be an external face of the company, identifying and building relationships and credibility amongst VCs and key partners
  • Implement risk management solutions and scenario planning
  • Establish the right corporate structure and governance for overseas expansion and local compliance
  • Monitor, manage and optimise organisational cash flow
  • Ensure compliance at all levels within the organisational structure
  • Lead the existing finance function, building, hiring and developing capabilities at all levels
Requirements
  • Proven executive level finance experience in CFO role or similar
  • Extensive management experience and mastery of finance fundamentals
  • Experience of managing business growth and the complexities of scaling
  • Experience securing funding and investment opportunities within global organisations
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis, forecasting methods and modelling
  • Experience within a relevant industry - FMCG, Cosmetics, Retail etc
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices for a global business with multiple entities around the world
  • Inspiring and engaging leader and communicator ,fully ‘on message’ with the brand and committed to growing it
  • An ability to balance strategic capacity and executional ability
