We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a reputable housing provider in North London as an Assistant Director of Operations to oversea Responsive Repairs and Asset Management.

Salary: GBP85,000 – GBP90,000 per annumAdvert closing date: 30th April

Your responsibilities will include:Demonstrating leadership in planning, developing and implementing practices to recruit, motivate and develop staff whilst improving service delivery, efficiency and profitability.Ensuring team members are suitably qualified and competent to manage their service area.Effectively directing the management and performance of staff, contractors, suppliers, and other resources.Monitoring the operational and financial performance of the service and address shortfalls in performance.Responsible for the maintenance of homesBeing responsible for the effective procurement and contract management of all service providers engaged by to deliver services.Preparing regular reports for discussion at management team meetings. Preparing and presenting reports to the Executive Team, Board and Committee's. Ensuring the reports are accurate, maximising use of data to support KPI reporting and robust auditing processes.Attending Resident and Committee meetings and present reports on operational areas of responsibilityLiaising and networking with internal and external stakeholders to ensure they are fully aware of strategic and operational objectives, requirements and achievementsEnsuring the company complies with relevant health and safety requirements, offering a safe working environment for staff and contractors whilst pursuing progressive improvement in health and safety performance.What you will need to succeedOur client is looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares their values and is friendly and positive.

The successful candidate will:• Have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills coupled with leadership, delegation, influencing and people management skills.• A collaborative approach to leading and engaging teams to exceed targets, perform to a high standard consistently and delivering customer focused services.• Be educated to degree level or equivalent. Professionally qualified in construction or related discipline• Be able to demonstrate level of IT skills and literacy.• Have a track record of building effective links with other related departments on a range of technical issues• Have detailed knowledge of leading a DLO service.• Have experience of Project Management of planned works from inception to completion• Have experience of leading procurement of services to support service delivery.• Have experience of managing a significant annual budget (cGBP50m)• Have broad knowledge of the construction industry
