Your new company
This SME financial services business has added several different product lines enabling them to deliver a variety of services to the diverse client base. Their leadership team continues to look at expansion options and given their healthy cash position this is likely to be M&A alongside organic growth.
Your new role
Sitting as part of an experienced Board and leadership team, you will lead on all operational finance activities and strategic initiatives. You'll take control of a small and competent finance team that has tenure and competence. Taking a strategic finance lead to support the Managing Director, you will maintain a robust financial control framework and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, but your primary responsibilities will focus on strategic and operational projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a sound technical accounting knowledge from completing your ACA, ACCA or CIMA accounting qualification. Ideally experience of working in a small to medium sized business to comprehend the full reporting process as well as demonstrating your operational exposure of working within an FCA regulated environment such as financial services or insurance. Importantly you will act with natural leadership qualities and communication skills to lead on strategic initiatives whilst working with a range of colleagues across the business.
