Senior Project Manager

A local authority is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead on major educational projects on a freelance basis.

Working with the development team you will be overseeing the infrastructure of complex multi–million–pound projects

Duties include:
Liaise with and support Council services, external contractors and advisors and colleagues.
Be responsible for the day to day management and effective implementation of projects. Manage reporting on projects to the relevant Programme Managers / Contract Manager.
Assess the appropriateness of proposals and designs put forward by external consultants in the context of the ambitions of the Capital programme and the priorities of each service/client.
Monitor on site works and liaise with professional agents, contractors, funding partners and stakeholders in ensuring compliance.
Formulate solutions to project issues as they arise and escalate issues where appropriate.

As an experienced project manager you will be able to demonstrate substantial project management experience in similar projects and show knowledge of the planning process and conservation requirements.

This role is open to all tax payment methods and excellent daily rates.
