Description
- Assist the Financial Control and Fixed Assets Manager in maintaining an effective control environment, with a special focus on the balance sheet, resulting in ongoing financial control improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards and regulations in order to guarantee that statutory accounts are prepared correctly and to a high standard within the time frames specified.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audit files for Group businesses and assist the Financial Accounting team in delivering year-end accounts on time. Day-to-day engagement with external audit, including fast responses to questions presented during the financial audit process.
- Track Internal and External Audit recommendations for financial accounting and control and ensure that they are implemented as soon as possible.
- Improve financial reporting and control while providing an efficient and effective service to internal and external clients by expanding the usage of finance systems.
- Control the inter-company reconciliation procedure and the reporting schedule.
- Ad hoc financial analysis and forecasting to assist the firm in making successful and informed decisions.
Profile
- Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA or equivalent.
- Proven leadership in the preparation of financial statements for audit and the application of accounting standards.
- Recent statutory financial reporting and audit experience in a practise or industry function.
- Inter company accounting and reconciliation experience.
Job Offer
- £55,000 - £60,000 per annum.
- 2 days in the office.
- 10% end of year performance bonus.
