JOB TITLE: Criminal Barrister LOCATION: London SALARY: £54,100 - £63,500

THE ROLE: We are working in partnership with the Crown Prosecution Service, who are offering outstanding career opportunities for experienced Criminal Barristers seeking a change in career direction. We are currently recruiting for multiple Barristers to join this high-profile organisation to forge a highly rewarding career in Prosecutions. With no duty rotas or out of hours requirements, this role offers an attractive work-life balance in comparison to traditional private practice opportunities, allowing the individual to focus on quality of work and level of service delivered. This role will involve some court advocacy but will also involve case preparation, review and advisory work, offering the opportunity to work from home at least 2-3 days per week. Your workload will be varied, intellectually stimulating, and rewarding.

A combination of induction training, bespoke training modules, mentoring and on-the-job coaching makes the start of your career as a Criminal Barrister a seamless and well supported transition. You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative team environment where everyone is given the encouragement, support, and opportunity to succeed, deliver the highest standards of service and work with a large degree of autonomy. Following an initial training and probationary period, the opportunity is likely to be available to specialise further in your areas of interest within the organisation.

THE CANDIDATE: This role is open to Barristers holding a practising certificate in England and Wales. You are likely to have upwards of 2 years of experience in criminal law or regulatory prosecutions and will be passionate about this area of law. The ability to make solid and well-reasoned decisions is essential for this role, in addition to having exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You will be expected to demonstrate a desire to learn new areas of work and an aptitude for legal reasoning throughout the interview process. High intellectual capacity and the ability to employ independent, logical thought processes will also be key to success in this role.

eNL will never share your CV with a third party without your express permission. As part of our candidate care process, we aim to respond to all applications in 7 days. If you have not been contacted within this timescale, your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary level purely as a guide.

At eNL we value diversity and inclusion. We want to attract people at all levels and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates, whatever your ethnicity, religion, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristics protected by law in the jurisdictions in which we operate.

In addition, if you know any legal professionals that may be interested in a new role, remember we do offer up to £500 referral fee bonus (T&C's apply).
