Finance Manager - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is an established and successful real estate asset management firm that is part of a far larger global player. Being part of an expanding global group and as they continue to expand, they have instructed us to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage the accounting for part of their operations and to act as a number 2 to their FD, with an emphasis on improving operations and client reporting.

THE REQUITEMENTS for the newly created Finance Manager role are:

  • Overseeing and managing the accounting for operations; including procedures and controls.
  • Assisting the Finance Director in running the Finance Team.
  • Reviewing and overseeing accounts for both company and client accounting - both internally and via outsourced service providers.
  • Cash management on a daily basis.
  • Assisting in the budget process.
  • Preparing and submitting annual statutory accounts pack.
  • Liaising with auditors.
  • Ensuring the company develops and maintains controls.
  • Ensuring that company policies and procedures are consistently applied to the required standards and to make changes to these as required.
  • Ensuring data, emails and client files are updated.
  • Line management responsibility.
  • Support junior colleagues in their management of their workload.
THE PERSON REQUIREMENTS for Finance Manager:

  • Accounting qualification - ACA preferred with strong audit background / experience (CIMA, ACCA also considered)
  • Significant experience of accounting preferably with an audit background.
  • Previous experience of procedures and controls.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven track record in managing staff.
  • Ability to lead and foster good followership.
  • Able to use initiative and take responsibility.
  • Able to fit in with a diverse work team.
