As the Associate Director, Energy and Sustainability, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the company's energy and sustainability strategies. You will develop and implement initiatives to enhance energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and promote sustainable practices across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of energy management, sustainability practices, and industry regulations. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to drive change and ensure the company's sustainability objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's energy and sustainability strategies, aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and drive energy efficiency initiatives, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and optimize energy consumption across operations.
  • Collaborate with cross–functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into business processes and decision–making.
  • Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to energy and sustainability.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including external partners, industry organizations, and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of sustainability professionals, providing guidance and support in achieving sustainability goals.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and other sustainability metrics.
  • Engage and educate employees at all levels on sustainable practices, promoting a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic goals and targets for energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability–related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Support sustainability reporting and disclosure initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sustainability performance.

What We Require:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Engineering, or Sustainability.
  • Extensive experience in energy management, sustainability, or a related field, with a proven track record of implementing successful energy efficiency programs.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, such as LEED, BREEAM, or ISO 14001.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards related to energy and sustainability.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve sustainability goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem–solving abilities, with a data–driven approach to decision–making.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and execute long–term sustainability strategies.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Professional certifications in energy management or sustainability (e.g., CEM, LEED AP) are highly desirable.
