Engineering Project Manager Nuneaton – GBP Highly Competitive DOE
An Engineering Project Manager is required for a respected high–technology company with a global reach. Based in an innovative, supportive and quality driven environment, you will work with prestige and high–profile clients on cutting–edge automotive and off–highway products. You will co–ordinate the engineering efforts of major projects in powertrain control and electrified systems for commercial vehicle applications. If you have experience in delivering projects, with a good awareness of common project management tools and processes, this could be your next rewarding challenge.
As Engineering Project Manager you will be required to
- Be responsible for controlling all the engineering and prototyping aspects of the project, including schedule and quality.
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team that is responsible for delivering software and electronic hardware for complex automotive systems, used in safety critical systems.
- Take on immediate project delivery responsibility on Global OEM and intercompany innovation projects.
- Follow ASPICE process requirements, creating and maintaining required documentation.
- Manage issue and change tracking and coordinate with all stakeholders
- Direct the effort to define the project charter, scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Apply multiple engineering project management methods and skills, to tailor the execution of projects of varying scopes and implementation plans.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain awareness of project scope and milestones.
- Drive project work to completion, using good judgement in determining when to escalate issues to management.
- Identify and resolve issues/risks using established engineering and project management tools and techniques.
- Implement enhancements to project management procedures and processes through continuous improvement and lean efforts.
As Engineering Project Manager you will have
- Relevant experience in creating and managing program timelines by directing, coordinating, and communicating to all functional groups assigned to the project, as well as customer functional groups, supplier, and vehicle line platform teams.
- Have an understanding of automotive E/E architectures, with an interest/experience in electric vehicles and their powertrains.
- An innovative, positive, can–do attitude and a demonstrable commercial awareness
- Confident communication skills, and be able to build rapport quickly, to influence all levels across a Global organisation.
- Sound analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
