Role - Financial Controller Location - Crewe Salary - Between £75,000 and £80,000 + car allowance and additional benefits.
Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for an instantly recognisable online retailer in their search for a Financial Controller to work out of their office based in Crewe to assist with their logistics operation.
The Financial Controller will need to be ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified and have a strong academic background. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and any experience of working within a retail or logistics business would be an advantage. Advanced Excel skills are crucial and any exposure to working with an ERP system would be a distinct advantage. Excellent staff management skills are crucial as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. The ability to build strong relationships with non-finance personnel is also a key component of the role. Key duties for the Financial Controller will involve the following:

- Responsibility for the logistics month end reporting
- Production of the annual statutory accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Variance analysis
- Profit and loss analysis
- Look to improve processes and systems throughout the organisation
- Assist with providing financial information for acquisitions, mergers, disposals etc,
- Partner with then operational and commercial teams
- Management of a team of 6
