Succession are currently partnering with a fast-growing business based near Rawtenstall that are looking to appoint their first Financial Controller (No 1 in finance), in advance of a potential transaction in the future. The business is enjoying a period of growth and a commercially minded financial controller is needed as a key player in the SMT moving forward.

The Financial Controller candidate will be:
- A key player able to guide effective policy making and financial strategies
- Hold a recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Practical experience in a management accounting role
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in the relevant accounting packages
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Confident preparing budgets and financial forecasting models
- A good communicator and the ability to liaise with financial stakeholders
- Preparation of forecasting and cashflow reports
- Manage the business’s cash flow
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Carefully review and analyse financial reports and data for potential discrepancies or cost savings and have significant input and involvement with commercial decisions and systems
- Report to the executive management team with accurate and comprehensive financial information
- Collaborating with an executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls
- Oversee the receipts of revenue and payment of suppliers
- Oversee Companies House and other statutory requirements
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns for the UK and any other required international markets
- Liaise with external auditors to provide them with the necessary documentation and support
- Liaise with Tax advisors and Auditors in producing Statutory Accounts and Corporations Tax
