We are looking for an Associate Director with strong expertise in insight–led reputation strategy and narrative development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and strong writer, with experience in roles either within politics, communications, or the media.

As an Associate Director within Teneo you'll help lead teams to develop winning reputation strategies grounded in audience insight that have impact for our clients. If you have an interest in helping clients under high scrutiny build and protect reputation, this role will be of interest.
Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering reputation strategy projects to help our clients identify and define their strategic positioning and narrative, working into senior client leads
  • Build strong working relationships with senior clients and their teams
  • Developing strategies that are rooted in audience insight and help clients meet their business objectives
  • Build, motivate and manage high–performing teams to deliver impactful work for clients
  • Project management including resourcing, budget management and profitability
  • Growing existing client briefs and contributing to winning new business
  • Proactively contributing to and fostering a knowledge–sharing environment with clients and colleagues – seeking new insights, knowledge, and expertise
  • Talent management of junior colleague
  • Where candidates have come from a non–consultancy background, we would be prepared to accelerate learning and development in these areas
Key Skills & Experience
  • At least 7 years' experience working in roles where clear and persuasive communication is critical, such as politics, communications consultancy, marketing, or the media
  • Demonstrable experience in developing impactful insights and strategic thinking
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and deliver strategic advice
  • Experience in using audience research (qualitative and quantitative) to shape strategic decision–making
  • Excellent writing, ideally with experience in drafting narratives and positioning statements
  • Able to lead and motivate teams to deliver high–quality work
  • An engaging self–starter with strong attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to foster good working relationships
  • Understanding of project management including budget and resource management
