Our client is a leading sporting, events, hospitality & entertainment business based in the heart of Nottingham. They are seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Services to oversee multiple departments within the business.
The successful individual will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Commercial Strategy for Sales, Hospitality, Marketing & Ticketing in the following approximate proportions:
60% Sales, Hospitality & Ticketing
20% Marketing & Communications
20% Catering, National Merchandise
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Box Office Manager
- To develop the Commercial Strategy for the Sales, Hospitality, Marketing and Ticketing teams with support from the Commercial Director and the Heads of those teams.
- To manage and deliver this Commercial Strategy in conjunction with those colleagues.
- To deputise for the Commercial Director when required, including with Catering and National Merchandise.
- To creatively identify new commercial opportunities and those arising from market changes.
- To support the preparation of Commercial budgets and manage and monitor the delivery of such budgets throughout the year, including capital investment options and appraisals.

- To provide leadership and motivation to staff in relation to the commercial activity by developing a team ethic and empowerment culture
- To manage and support the Event Ticketing Managers and our partners, Ticketek, in delivering a Ticketing Strategy that delivers a high quality ticketing experience.
- To work with the Head of Hospitality and Sales to develop a Hospitality & Sales Strategy that maximises the revenues from hospitality and sales opportunities within the building, including increasing the number of shows.
- To be an ambassador for the business by maintaining and developing excellent relationships with key partners and stakeholders, the press and media and to attend networking events as appropriate.
- To be a member of the Leadership Team and to contribute to the wider management of business, for example by providing management reports and contributing effectively at meetings.
Skills & Experience Required
- Substantial experience in sales and hospitality in the live events industry
- Substantial experience in marketing & comms in the live events industry
- Substantial experience in ticketing in the live events industry
- Experience in sales concessions
- Possess strong negotiating skills to achieve maximum commercial returns
- Dynamic leadership skills with line management experience at a senior level
- Able to make positive contributions to corporate objectives
- Ability to build partnerships at a strategic and operational level
- Substantial experience in sales and hospitality in the live events industry
- Substantial experience in marketing & comms in the live events industry
- Substantial experience in ticketing in the live events industry
- Experience in sales concessions
- Possess strong negotiating skills to achieve maximum commercial returns
