A global, PE backed technology, media business based in Central London is currently seeking a new Finance Manager. The role is newly created due to growth and following a recent restructure.
Reporting into the Finance Director, this role will partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation and be responsible for improving and automating financial processes. Responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA) with PQE working in a similar role in industry. Candidates should be confident, have a can-do attitude and drive to add value and problem solve. Previous experience implementing process improvement, new systems and automation is desirable. Candidates will ideally have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well with stakeholders at all levels, and team manage.

Reporting into the Finance Director, this role will partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation and be responsible for improving and automating financial processes. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for managing the month end close process on a timely basis.
- Trend analysis of operational & non-operational costs highlighting issues to leadership.
- Review of key balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ownership and monthly review of judgemental balance sheet provisions.
- Responsible for head office reporting and transfer pricing charges to the wider group.
- Responsible for the filing of statutory financial statements of the European business units.
- Partnering with external financial advisors on the preparation of financial statements.
- Annual review of impairment of investments.
- Main point of contact for audit process.
- Partnering with external tax advisors on sales tax & corporation tax returns.
- Project work, process improvement and automation around controls, reporting, analysis and more.
- Partnering with the Finance Director to reduce the month end close.
- Support with the roll-out of a new consolidation & planning system.
- Improving existing processes and controls within the accounting team.
- Manage, train, and develop a team of 4 direct reports.
- Additional ad-hoc duties and analysis to support the wider team and business.
