A global, PE backed technology, media business based in Central London is currently seeking a new Financial Accountant. The role is newly created due to growth and following a recent restructure.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role will partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation and be responsible for improving and automating financial processes. Responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will be qualified ACA qualified, preferably from a Big 4/ Top 10 accounting firm. Candidates should be confident, have a can-do attitude and drive to add value and problem solve. Strong technical accounting knowledge is desirable, with understanding of financial reporting, statutory accounts, and tax. Experience auditing clients within the tech/ media space would be beneficial, and experience automating, improving processes is highly desirable.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role will partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation and be responsible for improving and automating financial processes. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for financial reporting and management reporting of the European entities
- Filing of statutory financial statements of business units.
- Partnering with external financial advisors on the preparation of financial statements.
- Main point of contact for audit.
- Partnering with external tax advisors on sales tax & corporation tax returns.
- Annual review of impairment of investments.
- Own the monthly intercompany process and prepare variance analysis.
- Improve and automate processes
- Work with the wider accounting team to shorten the month end close timetable.
- Support with the roll-out of a new consolidation & planning system.
- Improving existing processes and controls within the accounting team.
