Our prestigious client is a a well known Manufacturing Business

They are seeking an experienced, proficient leader that as a member of the site senior leadership team will create and implement the site engineering strategy.

The right candidate will take charge of the engineering department, managing the strategic operation and day to day running of the Engineering Department in order to set and meet site targets for safety, safety, quality, plant availability, efficiency, cost and productivity. Will be used to working on improvement projects.

The successful candidate will lead the Engineer and Site Services teams, building capability and expertise and ensuring clear succession plans are in place that enable institutional knowledge and skills are retained.

They will ensure robust resource plans are in place that optimise the skills and expertise of the department across all production shifts and be responsible for monitoring the engineering department's overall operations, ensuring performance efficiency, and everyone's compliance with the safety standards and regulatory procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience of leading an Engineering function.
  • Experience of working in FMCG environment or similar fast paced manufacturing operation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience of managing Capex projects from design to sign off.
  • In depth understanding of mechanical, electrical and logic control systems.
  • Experience of computerised maintenance management systems.
  • In depth understanding of fault diagnostic techniques within mechanical, electrical and logic control systems.

  • Proven track record of achieving improvements and progress with extensive hands–on experience.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to liaise with varying stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
